Small to medium rounded shrub with pinnate leaflets, bright yellow flowers and broad, flat dark brown pods.
The flowers have a chocolate scent.
Pods and leaves have a purgative effect if eaten.
Pleurocarpa means with ribbed pods.
Common along roadsides, drains and other disturbed areas.
Plants often regenerate prolifically after fire.
Range includes southern Northern Territory, southern Queensland, central Western Australia and South Australia.
